Amelia Schwartz, 73, of Cleveland Township, Whitley County died early Thursday morning, March 11, 2021 at her home.

Amelia was born June 6, 1947 in Grabill, IN a daughter of the late Ben and Emma (Schwartz) Wittmer. She married Samuel Schwartz on November 13, 1969.  They have made their home in Cleveland Twp. for the past 50 years.

She is survived by her husband, Samuel; six sons, Aaron (Kanoshia) Schwartz, Benjamin (Amanda) Schwartz, Dennis (Wilma) Schwartz, Martin (Clara) Schwartz, Steven (Margaret) Schwartz, all of South Whitley and Samuel Jr. (Delila) Schwartz of Quincy, MI; 45 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, MaryAnn Zehr and Amanda Schmucker; and brothers, Fred Wittmer, John Wittmer, Dave Wittmer, Ben Wittmer and Ed Wittmer; and a brother-in-law, James Schmucker.

Additionally, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Louis E. Schwartz; sisters, Martha, Leah & Katheryn Schmucker; and brothers-in-law, Peter Zehr & Martin Schmucker.

Visitation is noon to 8 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2021, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Schwartz residence 10370 S State Road 105, South Whitley.  The funeral service is 9 a.m. Monday at the Schwartz residence with burial at the Cleveland Twp.
