Anna L. Keirn, 83, of Columbia City, died at 8:24 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2021, at Parkview Randallia, Fort Wayne.

She was born July 12, 1937, in Whitley County, Indiana, a daughter of Loyd and Virga E. Zeigler Anderson. She grew up in the Churubusco area graduating from Churubusco High School in 1955.

On April 27, 1957, she married Lawrence L. Keirn. They made their home in rural Larwill. In 1986, they moved to Columbia City. Lawrence died on July 21, 1987.

She was a full-time homemaker raising the couple's three children.

She was a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Throughout her life, she enjoyed watching the birds, playing cards, and board games. She is remembered for her delicious baked goods, especially cookies.

Surviving are her children, Diane (Glenn) Kreider of Columbia City, Connie (Neal) Frantz of Fremont and Jeff (Ellie) Keirn of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Clara (Pete) Mitchell of Columbia City and a sister-in-law Eva Lou Perry of Fort Wayne.

Additionally, she was preceded in death by sisters Ruby Dial and Mary Fletcher; brothers James, Carl, John, Mark, Emmett, Roy, Norman, Donald, and Dan Anderson.

The funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Monday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Burial is at the South Whitley Cemetery. Visitation is 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to the Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
