Anthony A.
"Tony" Myers
Feb 22, 1959 — Oct 18, 2020
Anthony Alan "Tony" Myers, 61, of rural Columbia City, died unexpectedly at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, on Sunday, October 18, 2020.
He was born February 22, 1959, in Columbia City, Indiana, a son of the late Billy Jo and Patricia Elaine (Wallace) Myers. He began school at Thorncreek Twp. Whitley County, then moving to Noble County, where he graduated from Central Noble High School in 1977.
On September 29, 2013, he married Sabrina Youngwolfe. They have always made their home in rural Columbia City.
Self-employed throughout his work career, he was a master at repair work. He was known for his ability to fix anything mechanical, leading him to his auto repair business and home repair business. Skilled and accomplished at woodworking, he built furniture, cabinetry, chest, and even home additions. He could build anything you could think of with wood. His natural skills lead him to self-learn the guitar becoming a very good player.
His favorite place to be was in the outdoors; whether tending his garden or in the woods hunting or on the water at his favorite fishing spot, he found solace. Lovingly remembered as strong-willed, nothing came between him and his love for the grandchildren enjoying every minute with them. Each year he played a convincing Santa leaving the grandkids dazzled.
He was a member of the NRA.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife, Sabrina, a daughter, Melony (Jeremy) Taylor, Kendallville; grandchildren, Madison, Makayla, Jillian, and Justice; a sister, LeahBeth (Rick) Smith, Albion and a niece, Brianna Ashley and nephew, Jeffrey Ashley.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Smith and Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
