Obituary

Billy "Bill" Wayne Pensinger, 84, of rural Albion, passed away peacefully at his home at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2020.

On January 4, 1936, he was born in Portland, Indiana, a son of the late Dale and Mary M. (Nixon) Pensinger. He began school in Portland until the family moved to Noble County, where he graduated from Wolf Lake High School in 1954.

On July 18, 1958, he was united in marriage to Roselyn M. Strauss. They have always made their home near Wolf Lake. Roselyn died on May 14, 2001.

Becoming a tool and die maker, he worked for Zollner Piston, Fort Wayne, for over 40 years.

Using the skills of his vocation, he became an accomplished woodworker making furniture and wood mosaics. In his younger years, he enjoyed camping with the family. After the kids were raised, he and Roselyn enjoyed white-water rafting in Colorado.

He was a faithful member of the Noble Township Volunteer Fire Department of Noble County.

He is survived by his three children, Jeff K. (Jodie) Pensinger of Larwill, Ken L. (Janet) Pensinger of Fishers and Laura Gill of Fort Wayne, six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Gerald (Anita) Pensinger of Albion, James (Irma) Pensinger of Fort Wayne and Steve (Mary Jane) Pensinger of Bristol, VA.

Additionally, he was preceded in death by a son, Jack W. Pensinger, and a brother, John Pensinger.

The funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Burial is at the Wolf Lake Cemetery. Visitation is 9 a.m. until the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials in Bill's honor are to the Noble Township Volunteer Fire Department of Noble County.
