Bradley Eugene
Simmers
Sep 7, 1961 — Sep 7, 2026
Larwill
Bradley Eugene Simmers, 65, of Larwill, died peacefully on his birthday at 1:38 p.m. Monday, September 7, 2026, at his home.
Born on September 7, 1961, in Columbia City, Indiana, he was a son of Doyle Snodgrass and the late Rebecca Kay (Ward) Simmers. Growing up in the Larwill area, he graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1980. After graduating, he made his home in Larwill, where he raised his children.
Bradley worked in road construction with E&B Paving out of Fort Wayne before dedicating half a decade to the cleaning and restoration of foreclosed and abandoned homes. He retired in 2025. He was a member of LIUNA Local 213 Road Construction Laborers Union, based in Fort Wayne.
In his free time, Bradley enjoyed fishing and duck hunting, and would take his children along on many fishing trips. He was a carpenter and tried his hand at carving a little bit of everything. He loved his dogs, having coon hounds or hunting dogs for the majority of his life; his most recent being Sofie, who was a gift from his family.
Bradley is survived by his children, Justin Simmers of Warsaw, Joshua Simmers of Silver Lake, and Janessa Anderson of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren; and brothers, Vince (Vicki) Simmers of Churubusco and Todd Simmers of Fort Wayne.
As per his wishes, there will be no public ceremony. Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sons Funeral Home of Columbia City.
