Brandon Alex Treece, 22, of Jeffersonville, died at his home Saturday evening, January 8, 2022.

Born on January 26, 1999, in Columbus, Ohio, he was a son of Alex Alejandro Treece and Melissa Leenna (O'Donnell) Alejandro. He began school in Mount Vernon, Ohio. After the family had moved to Elkhart, IN, he attended Concord High School and graduated from Indiana Connections in Elkhart. He continued his education at IPFW, Fort Wayne.

Working in the construction trade, he moved from the family home in Anderson to Jeffersonville.

Full of life and adventure, he liked the outdoors, either fishing or hunting or enjoying a family camping trip. He often delighted in swimming and water sports in the summer months, especially with his buddy Gunner, a Labrador retriever. He developed great baseball skills from a young age, which led him to play in the city league in Columbus, Ohio. He was thrilled with fast cars or fast-paced video games, shooting sports, or just chill'in with the "bro" club. Above all, he cherished family especially his siblings whom he bantered with regularly.

He is survived by his parents, Alex R. and Debra M. Treece, of Anderson; siblings, Michael E. Stephens of Corydon, Dustin A. Treece of Portland, OR, Chelsea M. (Sam) Wintell-Gary of Colorado Springs, CO, and Alexis P. Treece of Anderson; his grandparents; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

The funeral service is 3 p.m. Saturday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Burial is at the Nolt Cemetery. Visitation is from noon until the service Saturday at the funeral home.  Mask are requested.
