Brenda Sue Vaught, 66, of Columbia City, passed away at 2:16 p.m. Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

Born on January 16, 1959, in Huntington, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Hershel R. and Velene A. (Bowers) Vaught.  Growing up in the Huntington area, she graduated from Huntington North High School.

She worked several part time jobs until she became disabled.

Brenda enjoyed diamond painting and found it relaxing.  She especially enjoyed her grandchildren.  She had a love for animals, especially dogs. She loved her dog, Bella and her grand dogs, Lucy, Bear and Cricket.

She is survived by her children, Cory W. (Lindsey) Tackett, and Kristal R. Tackett both of Columbia City; three grandchildren; and a brother, William (MaryLou) Vaught of Laotto, Indiana.

As per Brenda's wishes, there will be no services.
