Brigitte Ann Cora , 63, of Columbia City, died peacefully in the company of family at 9:00 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2023, at her home.

Born on July 15, 1960, in Buchanan, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Annette Jean (Boyer) Patton. Growing up in Buchanan, she graduated from Buchanan High School in 1978.

In addition to raising three children, she drove a school bus for Niles (MI) Community schools for about six years, then went to work for DePuy in Warsaw. More recently, she worked for Lincoln Food Services in Fort Wayne for about eight years.

Fond of animals, she cared for rabbits and dogs, leaving behind her beloved poodles, Brandee & Lexee. She enjoyed coloring books and working on crossword puzzles. She was a fan of daytime soap operas and medical dramas.

Surviving are her sons, Andrew J. Kring of South Bend and William R. Cora of Columbia City, and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Eric Kring.

There will be no services. The burial will take place later in her hometown of Buchanan, MI.  Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
