Bruce Alan Willson, 69, of Columbia City, died peacefully at his home at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021.

He was born August 21, 1951, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, a son of the late Glenn W. and Charlotte J. (Hammon) Willson. He completed elementary school at Coesse and graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1969. He continued his education, becoming a tool and die maker.

On July 13, 1973, he married Annette J. Williams. They have always made their home in Columbia City.

Working in the tool and die trade, he began with Pease Machine, Fort Wayne, later moving to Advanced Tool and Die, Fort Wayne. He retired in August of 2020.

He enjoyed golfing and using his professional skills; he built precision pieces of furniture used throughout his home.

Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Annette; two sons, Heath A. (Kristy) Willson and Chad A. (Amber) Willson, both of Columbia City; grandchildren, Sydney E. (Andrew) Gordon, Haley Willson, Joseph D. Willson, Allyson Willson, and Cassidy Willson; a great-grandson, Klay Gordon; brothers, Gary (Sally) Willson of Columbia City, Dean Willson of Leo and a sister, Rita (Gale) Pittman of Columbia City.

There will be no services. Arrangements by Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
