Carol Ann Young, 79, of Albion, died at 12:52 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at her home.

She was born on November 28, 1942 in Wolf Lake, Indiana, a daughter of the late Calvin Alexander and Thelma Mae (Weber) Ott. Growing up in the Wolf Lake area, she graduated from Wolf Lake High School in 1960.  Carol went on to Fort Wayne Business College to further her education.

On April 3, 1962, she married Max E. Young.  They made their home in Churubusco before moving to their home in Albion.

Carol worked as a teller at Churubusco State Bank.

She enjoyed reading and baking rolls and cookies, especially for others.

She was a member of the Wolf Lake Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband, Max; daughter Jill A. Young of Kandern, Germany; sisters, Connie L. (Roger) Seymour of Lakeland, FL, Barbara K. (David) Munk of Columbia City and Vicky L. (Steve) Gaerte of Albion; and brother, Rex C. (Renee) Ott of Albion.

The memorial service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 3 ^rd , 2022 at Wolf Lake Baptist Church, 1133 Main Street, Wolf Lake, Indiana with visitation one hour prior.  Burial is at Thorn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 2 ^nd , 2022, at the church.
