Deborah L. Mueller, 77, passed away comfortably, surrounded by her family on December 27, 2021.

Born March 26, 1944, Deborah was a lifetime resident of Columbia City. Deborah and her brother Denny were raised by their beloved parents, Tom & Maxine Juillerat. Preceded by her brother's untimely death at the age of 17, Deborah lived with her family on Chauncey Street and attended Columbia City High School, where she met and married her high school sweetheart John Mueller.

Marrying March 7, 1964, John and Deborah continued to live on Chauncey Street, where they raised their two daughters, Renee and Angela. Deborah worked at North American for 25 years and was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church before moving to Lake Wawasee in 2007. For the last 5 years, John and Deborah enjoyed the sunshine full-time in Pompano Beach, Florida.

She will be remembered for her humor, love, and generosity by her friends, card ladies, and family. Forever changed are her husband of 57 years, John, daughters Angela Bennett and Renee Lahren, son-in-law Scott Lahren, and grandchildren Alexa and Chandler Lahren & Trey and Braxton Bennett.

At this time, there will be a private service for immediate family only. Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
