Obituary

Dennis DeWayne Hull, 69, of Warsaw, died peacefully in the company of family at 6:35 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2024 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Born on June 17, 1954, in Columbia City, a son of the late Herman DeWayne "Sy" and Shirley Ann (Cearbaugh) Hull.  He attended Larwill school and his class of 1972  at Whitko was the first to graduate from there.

On April 5, 1994 he married Jacqueline "Sue" Himes.  They made their home in Warsaw.

A talented musician he played bass and acoustic guitar and sang in several bands, including the latest band "Cruisin." He really enjoyed jam sessions at gatherings with friends and family.

He loved to ride motorcycles, his favorite being his Harley.  He was handy with tools and great at figuring things out.  His retirement project was supposed to be fixing up a 1968 Camaro .  He enjoyed the outdoors and liked to camp and fish.

Surviving is his wife, Sue; daughters, Randi (Ty) Freel of South Whitley, Rachael (Jeremy) Moore of Fort Wayne; step children Keri Ann (Tracey) Goldwood and Jason (Julie) Weed; four grandchildren; three step grandchildren and three great grandchildren; brothers, Doyle D. Hull of Columbia City and Daniel D. Hull of Michigan.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Burial is at Adams Cemetery.  The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Funeral Home.

The family are requesting that people wear Harley attire to the visitation if they want to.
