Donna Jean Hill, 85, of Columbia City, died unexpectedly of natural causes at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at her home.

She was born on July 14, 1939, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Harry and Katherine Karras. Growing up in Wisconsin, she completed her education, earning a GED.

On March 9, 2012, she married John K. Hill.  They made their home in Mequon, WI.  John died on January 2, 2022.

For over 25 years, she worked for the Wisconsin Health Fund in Milwaukee.

In her retirement, she moved to Columbia City to be closer to her family.  Always positive and happy, she loved to have fun and play silly antics, resulting in a good laugh.  She was caring and abundantly generous, helping others however possible.

Surviving is a son, Jeffrey Stoper of WI; granddaughters, Angela (Corey) Hagans of Columbia City and Amanda (Justin) Rodriguez of Pueblo West, CO; great-grandchildren Leyla, Trevor, Aspen, and Justin "JJ".

Donna's desire was to have no services.  Her cremains will be returned to her home state of Wisconsin. Arrangements are in the care of Smith and Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.

An animal lover, memorials in Donna's honor are to the Humane Society of Whitley County.
