Gwyna D. Ross, 71, of South Whitley, passed away at 10:48 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2024, at Parkview Wabash Hospital.

Gwyna was born on October 20, 1952, in Columbia City, a daughter of the late Donald Robert and Bonnie L. (Warner) Ross.  She attended Sidney school.  She lived on a farm her whole life until 2016, when she and her mom moved to Peabody in North Manchester.

She enjoyed mowing yard, flowers, gardening.  She also liked old time westerns and NASCAR, and traveling with her parents.

She loved her niece and nephews and sure kept them in line when they were young! She so enjoyed and loved her great nieces.

Surviving are her sisters, Martha (Wes) Stouder of Warsaw and Kathy (Dennis) Rhoades of South Whitley; niece, Elizabeth (Jeff) Ihnen; nephews, Douglas (Amanda) Rhoades, Matthew (Ashley) Firestone, James Ross, Jason Ross and Jordan (Audrey) Ross; and nine great nieces.

She was preceded in death by a brother, John R. Ross.

The funeral service will be at 12:00 Noon on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Smith & Sons Miller Chapel.  Burial will be at the Spring Creek Cemetery beside her parents and brother.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to Noon at the funeral home.
