Obituary

Heather Nicole Hobbs, 37, of Fort Wayne, died at 1:25 a.m. Sunday, February 14, 2021, at her home.

She was born October 29, 1983, in Wabash, Indiana, a daughter of Mark Burton Hobbs and Donna Kay (Estep) Hobbs. Growing up in North Manchester, she graduated from North Manchester High School in 2003. She continued her education at Brown Mackie College, Fort Wayne, receiving an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice. Later she earned a Qualified Medication Aid (QMA) certification.

She began her healthcare career at Grace Village in Winona Lake. She later worked for Rosewood Staffing in Fort Wayne and was currently employed with First Choice Medical Staffing.

A caring and loving person, she routinely gave to those in need. She raised three beautiful children, Jadin, Kaidyn, and Caysen and a grandchild Valentine became her joy.

Taking pride in her appearance, she liked wearing make-up and sporting different hairstyles. She enjoyed a manicure and pedicure. Delighting in decorating her home, she often visited the local home décor stores for fresh and new ideas. Whenever possible, she traveled to her favorite destination of Florida or took a Caribbean cruise.

Surviving her untimely death are her three children, Jadin A. Parrett of South Whitley, Kaidyn O. Hobbs of Warsaw and Cayson A. Hobbs of Laketon; a grandchild, Valentine Harty; her mother, Donna K. Krider of South Whitley; her father, Mark B. (Cindy) Hobbs of North Manchester; two brothers, Eric (Christina) Estep of Warsaw and Justin M. (Jessica) Hobbs of Venice, FL; step-sisters, Raychel A. Stevens of Wabash, Mariah C. Krider of Wabash, Jessica M. Sparks of Huntington, Sarah A. (Adam) Shreve of Buchanan, MI, and her grandmother, Elizabeth Estep of North Manchester.

She was preceded in death by her step-father, Larry W. Krider, and a step-brother, Isreal W. Krider.

The funeral is 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home. Burial is at the South Whitley Cemetery. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Funeral Home. Please follow COVID guidelines.

Preferred memorials are to final expenses c/o Smith & Sons Funeral Home.
