Jennifer S. Trier, 64, of Columbia City, died unexpectedly of natural causes at her home on Monday, November 20, 2023.

Born on January 29, 1959, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, she was a daughter of James and Janet (Allman) Shlater.  She attended Green Center School and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1977.  She furthered her education and completed certification as an EMT, and a Sleep Disorder Technician.

On August 20, 1984 she was united in marriage to Arthur "Dee" Trier.  They always made their home in the Columbia City area.

She started work at Whitley County Hospital as an EMT. then at St. Joe Hospital as a Sleep Lab Technician and then at the sleep center of Fort Wayne also as a Sleep Lab Technician.

She enjoyed sewing and knitting.  She also loved watching the I.U. basketball on the television, and was a huge Colts fan.

Surviving is her husband, "Dee"; sons, Anthony (Jessica) Trier of Deputy and Scott (Nicole) Trier of Columbia City; brother, Rick (Roxann) Shlater of Laotto; mother, Janet Chojnowski of Angola; grandchildren, Alayna (Merritt) Lamm, Logan Trier, Alivia Trier, Alexa Trier. Nathaniel Trier and Clinton Trier

She was preceded in death by her father, James.

As per Jennifer's wishes, there will be no services.  Memorials are to the Humane Society of Whitley County.
