Jerry Lynn Pratt , 59, of Pierceton, died peacefully at 4:20 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Stillwater Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.

Born on December 20, 1965, in Hamilton, Ohio, he was a son of Mack A. and Shirley M. (Garrett) Pratt.  Growing up in Whitley County, Jerry graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1984.

After his graduation, he joined JC Pontoon in North Webster as an assembler.  In 2002, he went to work for Warsaw Coil as a machine operator.

Enjoying life's simple pleasures, he liked to cruise the rural road in his meticulously maintained pickup truck, listening to his favorite music.  He shared his passion for driving, teaching his siblings and children to drive.  At home, he maintained a vegetable garden, kept his truck spotless, and liked to watch auto racing of all types.

He is survived by his children, Timothy Pratt of Columbia City and Crystal (Brian) Kennedy of South Bend, four grandchildren; his mother, Shirley Pratt of Pierceton; and siblings, Sandra (George) Dockery of Larwill, Mack (Sheila) Pratt of Pierceton,   and Sharon Hoover of Columbia City.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mack A. Pratt.

The funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday (August 9th) at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.  Burial is at the Troy Presbyterian Cemetery.  Visitation is from 11 a.m. until the service Saturday at the funeral home.
