Jeryl Sue Friend, 69, of Columbia City, died on Monday, October 19, 2020 at Parkview Randallia Hospital, Fort Wayne.

She was born September 30, 1951, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, a daughter of the late Ralph E. and Helen I. (Kapp) Hume. Growing up in Fort Wayne, she graduated South Side High School.

She is survived by a son, Joshua Smith of Columbia City; two grandchildren, Andrew Smith and Kaylin Smith and a brother, John (Marasri) Hume of China.

She was preceded in death by a sister Tonda Logardner.

In accordance with the family's wishes, there will be no service.
