Joan Ulrich, 84 , of rural Huntington, formerly of Leo, died peacefully at 7:08 p.m. Sunday, August 8, 2021, at Coventry Meadows, Fort Wayne.

She was born July 12, 1937, in Whitley County, Indiana, a daughter of the late Therman and Edna (Yoquelet) Martin. She grew up in Washington Twp, Whitley County where she graduated from Washington Center High School.  Continuing her education at Purdue University, she became a registered pharmacist.

In February of 1967, she married Raymond F. Ulrich.  They made their home in Leo.  Raymond died May 3, 2003.

For 31 years, Joan and her husband owned and operated the Ulrich Pharmacy in Leo.  After closing their store, Joan went to work for CVS Pharmacy for 18 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary (Charles) Kroner of Huntington. step-son Larry (Berniece) Ulrich of Greenwood and Diane McGregor of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Raygan, Reece, Justice and Liberty Kroner, Christopher (Ashley) Ulrich, Greg (Taylor) Ulrich, Brian (Erin) McGregor, Ross (Carol) McGregor, Sean (Emma) Campbell, and Jason (Kelle) Brown; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister Violet (Ronald) Martin of Zellwood, FL and many nieces and nephews.

Additionally, she was preceded in death by a sister Janet Gustafson.

There will be no service.  Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sons Miller Chapel – South Whitley.
