Joshua Jay McClanahan, age 42, passed away January 26, 2022 at his home in Labelle, Florida.

Josh was born in Kendallville, Indiana, on March 25, 1979. He grew up in Mansfield, Ohio, where he attended Mansfield Christian School and graduated from Madison High School. He was also a graduate of ITT in San Diego, CA.

He was a skilled craftsman in the residential construction field, having worked in Ohio, Florida, and California. He was also owner of San Diego Stairs and Structural Steel.

He is survived by his mother Linda, sisters Sarah (Heyward) Armstrong, and Emily (Nathan) Funk. Also surviving are a niece Piper Armstrong and nephews Jay Armstrong and John Leo Funk.

He was pre-deceased by his father, John McClanahan, and his grandparents Woody & Mary Hawk and Jewel & Sarah McClanahan

Josh spent many happy summers on his Hawk grandparents' farm in Indiana, and he will be buried with them at the Merriam Christian Chapel Cemetery.

Funeral services will be held at the Smith & Sons Funeral Home in Columbia City, on Wednesday, February 2, with calling beginning at 12:00 and the service at 2:00, with interment following.
