Judith Ann Miller, 82, of Columbia City, died at 3:08 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, where she was admitted on Friday.

Born on December 14, 1939, in Logansport, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Frances Barbara (Froncek) Wagner. She graduated from South Whitley High School in 1957 and continued her education at the University of St Francis, Fort Wayne.

On January 7, 1961, she married Richard L. Miller. They made their first home in North Manchester, moving to South Whitley in 1965. In 1996, the couple moved to rural Columbia City. Richard died on January 19, 2015, and Judy later moved to Columbia City.

For five years, she worked for Plastic Veneering in Tunker. She then became the secretary of Saint Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, Columbia City retiring with 20 years of service.

Throughout her life, she enjoyed traveling. Among her many destinations was Europe, from Ireland to Greece and the many countries in between. She visited Australia and the remote states of Hawaii and Alaska. Attending her grandchildren's activities was always a priority. Quiet time was spent reading or bird watching with her cats.

She was a member of the St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church and Club 21.

Surviving are her children, William D. (Linda) Miller of Spencerville, Michelle A. (David) Frei of Columbia City, and Michael R. Miller of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Brittany, Morgan, Andrew, Mackenzie, Catherine, Paige, and Kellie; and six great-grandchildren.

Additionally, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Wagner.

The funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 125 N Harrison St, Warsaw, IN 46580.  Burial is at the Catholic Cemetery, Columbia City. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home in Columbia City, with a Rosary Service at 8 p.m.
