Obituary

Judith Ann Paseka, 77, of rural Albion, died peacefully in the company of family at her daughter's home in Columbia City at 2:35 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2022.

Born on June 28, 1945, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Wallace Washington Clark, Jr. and Eloise Mae (Snyder) Clark. Growing up in South Whitley, she completed her formal education at South Whitley High School.

After high school, she lived in Warsaw, moving to South Whitley in 1968. In 1979, she moved to Columbia City and, in 1990, to Albion.

On September 10, 1960, she married Peter W. Paseka, Sr. at the Collamer Church of God.  Peter died in 1979.

For 42 years, she was employed by Warner Electric, Columbia City, in the production department. She retired in 2015.

Judy enjoyed shooting pool at the local establishments and fishing the area lakes.  Later in life, she liked producing ceramic figurines. Molding, painting, and firing them in her own kiln. When the grandkids came along, they became her focus and joy. In her senior years, watching John Wayne westerns became her favorite pastime.

Surviving is her companion for over 30 years, John Brisentine of Albion; children Peter W. (Cheryl) Paseka of Warsaw, Brian K. (Kathryn) Paseka, Michelle R. (Jeff) Cress, and Tonya A. (Brett) Knowles all of Columbia City; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a brother, Errol (Sue Forsythe) Clark of North Webster; a half-sister, Darlene (Kevin) Andrews of South Bend; a foster sister, Kathleen Fivenson of Warsaw; and her beloved dog, Tyson.

Additionally, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Paseka and a sister, Rebecca Curletti.

The funeral service is at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Smith and Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. The burial is at the South Whitley Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour before the service on Saturday.
