Judy Kay Garrison, 79, of Columbia City, passed away on February 2, 2026, at her home.

She entered this world at the Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, IN, on November 26, 1946.  Her parents were Charles Winkler and Alice Sroufe Winkler.  They resided on a 40-acre farm on the west edge of Columbia Twp., west of Columbia City, IN.

She attended Columbia Twp. School for her elementary school education.  Judy graduated from Columbia City Joint High School (CCJHS) in 1965.  After high school, she attended Fort Wayne Bible College before making a career at RR Donnelley & Sons printing plant in Warsaw.

On October 9, 1971, she was united in marriage to Dennis Garrison. They began their lives together at a house in Burket, IN.  She was a stay-at-home wife.  Later, they divorced, and Judy moved back to Columbia City, where she remained until her passing.

As a young girl, Judy's neighbors took her to the Thorncreek Baptist Church when she made a decision to receive Jesus Christ as her personal savior.  Judy was passionate about family genealogy and high school class reunions.

Surviving is her brother, Charles "Chuck" (Laura) Winkler, Jr. of Tucson, AZ.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Charlie and Alice.
