Karol Jean Eckert, 77,of rural Columbia City, passed away at her home surrounded by family on Monday, October 12, 2026.

Born on January 19, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Max and Elsie (Burris) Baker.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Michael; sons, Patrick (Laury) Farrell of Columbia City and Trent Farrell of Roanoke; grandchildren, Jessica Farrell, Joseph Farrell, Nicholas Farrell and Ian Taylor; great-grandchildren, Roman, Jackson, Ryker, and Gianna.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Joyce McClure.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
