Kay Lorene Lepley, 84, of Tri-Lakes, died peacefully in the company of family at 10:20 a.m. Sunday, April 9, 2023, at The Waters of Columbia City.

She was born to the late Gerald and Jennie (Williamson) Lancaster on December 22, 1938, in South Whitley, Indiana. Growing up in the South Whitley area, she attended South Whitley Elementary and graduated from South Whitley High School in 1956.

After graduating High School, she began working at the soda fountain at the local drugstore in South Whitley where she met her future husband, Larry.  They were united in marriage on March 30, 1957.  When their children began school, she began working at Dr. Shepherd's dental office as a receptionist.  Larry and Kay then started their own business, Whitley Electronics in 1980.  After several years, they turned their attention to antiques, and spent many a week searching flea markets and sales to find the perfect antique.  Larry enjoyed refinishing furniture and they both enjoyed traveling to find a bargain and a beautiful piece of furniture.

Surviving is her loving husband of 66 years, Larry; children, Erin (Randy) Evans of Warsaw, Blake (Darla) Lepley of Columbia City; three grandchildren, Emma (Jagger) Vancuren, Alexis (Charles) Grossman and Sam (Bri Stidham) Lepley; three great grandchildren, Maggie, Trella and Edward Grossman; and a brother, Randall (Deanna) Lancaster of Henderson, Nevada.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers, Donnel, Gerald Jr, Merritt "Curley", Robert, Dale "Keith", Larry "Butch" and Richard Lancaster; five sisters, Geneva Myers, Joan Stansberry, Rosetomasene Lancaster, Karen Corson and Nancy Lancaster.

Per Kay's request, there will be no services.

Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
