Leanne Sue Dial-Beekman , 63, died unexpectedly of natural causes at her home at 10:09 a.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.

Born on March 12, 1960, in Huntington, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late William Lee and Betty M. (Shenefield) Dial. Growing up in Noble County, she completed Wolf Lake Elementary School and graduated from Central Noble High School. She continued her education at the Huntington School of Beauty, obtaining her license in cosmetology.

On July 12, 1994, she was united in marriage to Terry W. Beekman. They lived in Cadillac, Michigan, for over 15 years and then moved to Big Lake, Noble County.

In addition to being a full-time homemaker, she operated a beauty shop in her home in Big Lake. She had worked for ten years at Weatherhead Dana, Columbia City, and was a retired Noble Township Fire Department volunteer.

She enjoyed sewing, crochet, and all sorts of crafts. Living at the lake, she would fish whenever possible. Leanne liked to collect porcelain and glass figurines, particularly hummingbirds. Her family was her priority, spending as much time with them as possible. Enjoying a game of chance, she liked to visit the casinos occasionally.

Surviving is her husband, Terry; daughter, Ashlynn E. (Darrell) Nichter of Churubusco; grandchildren, Brooklynn D. Nichter and Chase A. Nichter, both of Churubusco; and a brother, Gary L. (Sharon) Dial.

Additionally, she was preceded in death by brothers, Jack, and Tom Dial.

As per Leanne's wishes, there will be no services. Burial is later at Thorn Cemetery.

Memorials in Leanne's honor are to final expense c/o Smith & Sons.
