Lester D. Myers , 62, of rural Larwill, died unexpectedly of natural causes at his home on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.

Born on December 21, 1961, in Columbia City, Indiana, he was a son of the late Garland Voil Myers and Doris Joan (Werstler) Myers.  He graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1980.

He joined the U.S. Marine Corp serving for four years.  After his discharge, he returned to the area.

He became an agricultural mechanic, repairing a wide range of farm equipment.  For over twenty years, he worked for Polk Equipment in Leesburg.  Through the years in his spare time, he helped his family and friends with repairs to their farm equipment.

Surviving are two brothers, Galen A. Myers of Larwill and Glenn B. Myers of Columbia City.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Duane Myers and a sister, Becky Damron.

There will be no services. Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.

Lester will be laid to rest at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Larwill at a later date.
