Linda Sue Reed, 61, of Nolensville, TN, died Saturday, February 12, 2022 of natural causes at her home.

Born February 23, 1960, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, a daughter of Rex Eugene and Mary Jane (Bowers) Reed. Growing up in Columbia City she graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1979.  She continued her education at St. Joseph School of Nursing in Fort Wayne receiving a Registered Nurse Degree (RN).  She later earned an MBA at Indiana Wesleyan University, Fort Wayne.

For 25 years she worked as a RN at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne.  Moving to the administration side of healthcare, she took a position with Community Health in Franklin, TN and then Quorum Health Corporation, Brentwood, TN where she was currently employed.

Her work in the medical field was a vocation, not a job.  She was an original card maker and she loved her dogs.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Goble of Fort Wayne; brothers, Bryan (Nanette) Reed of Fort Wayne, Michael (Karen) Reed of Damascus, OR and Kirby (Kim) Reed of Lacey, WA; step-siblings, Brent (Patti) Goble of Carmel, Ford Goble of Indianapolis and Rochelle (Dana) Feaster of Houston, TX. and her dogs, Bentley and Foster.

She was preceded in death by her father Rex E. Reed and step-father, Willis Goble Sr.

A private family funeral service will take place at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Burial is at the Greenhill Cemetery.
