Linda R. Rose, 82, formerly of rural Columbia City, died peacefully at 7:27 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, where she resided since January 2019.

Born November 21, 1938, in Whitley County, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Willard and Ethel (Chapman) Knisely. Growing up in the Columbia City area, she graduated from Columbia City High School.

A full-time homemaker raising five children, she also worked for BRC Rubber in Churubusco for many years.

In her retirement years, she enjoyed crochet until she was unable and liked watching old western movies.

Surviving are her children, Laramie (Dawn) Jackson, Keith Jackson, both of Columbia City Rexanna (Virgil) Fultz of Cromwell, and Jackie Crouse of South Whitley; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jay Knisely of Columbia City.

Private arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
