Linda Diane VanVoorst , 74, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 8:40 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2025, at The Waters of Columbia City.

Born on January 18, 1951, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, a daughter of the late Jack H. and Beulah Mae (Holycross) Kessie.  Growing up in Etna, Troy Twp., Whitley County, she graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1969.

Linda worked various retail jobs until she became an administrative assistant for the Bowen Center in Warsaw.

A woman of faith, Linda spent her alone time studying the Bible and reciting scripture.  She enjoyed shopping and regularly watched the Home Shopping Network and QVC.

Surviving is her companion, Richard Brown of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Michael (Ashley) Estep, Cameron (Stephanie) Estep, and Ashton Estep; siblings, Gary (Jolene) Kessie of Columbia City and Shirley Carpenter (Solomon Kleiner) of St. Augustine, FL; and son-in-law, Keith Borgert of Sturgis, MI.

Additionally, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Danyelle Borgert and an infant sister, Sandra Sue Kessie.

A private burial will take place at St. Matthew's Cemetery.  Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
