Mallice Jay Halsey, 26 , originally from Columbia City, died at his home in Fort Wayne.

Born on November 1, 1995, in Goshen, Indiana, he was a son of Shadd and Jamie Rae (Halsey) Miser. Growing up in the Columbia City area, he graduated from Columbia City High School in 2014.

He was employed as a machinist at various companies.

He enjoyed reading, tattoos and excelled at most video games.

Surviving are his parents and a brother, Shadd Jr.

The funeral service is Tuesday, July 5 at 2:30 p.m. at Greenhill Cemetery with a gathering of friends and family from 11 to 2 p.m. at Smith & Sons Funeral Home in Columbia City.
