Mary A. Gable, 61, of Columbia City, formerly of Pierceton, died unexpectedly of natural cause at her home on Sunday, November 21, 2021.

Born December 12, 1959, in Columbia City, Indiana, she was a daughter of Robert and Darlene (Hontz) Busz. Growing up in Columbia City, she graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1979. She continued her education at Ravenscroft Beauty College in Fort Wayne.

Raising three children, she lived through the years in Fort Wayne, Columbia City, and Pierceton.

Throughout her life, she liked to socialize with others. While at home, she enjoyed crochet and sewing. When her grandchildren came along, they became her pride and joy, spending as much time as possible with them, sometimes they stayed with her for the entire summer.

Surviving are her daughters Brandy (Matthew) Johnson of Leo and Jessica (Josh) Bushee of Fort Wayne and a son Scott R. (Andrea Baldwin) Gable of South Whitley; seven grandchildren; her father Robert Busz of Columbia City; and brothers Max A. (Lisa) Busz of Pierceton and Mark (Kathy) Busz of Warsaw.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene Myers.

A visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
