Michelle Marie McCoy-Norris, 55, of Columbia City, died peacefully in the company of family at 8:42 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Parkview Randallia.

She was born on November 7, 1968, in Whitley County, Indiana, a daughter of Charles "Chuck" McCoy and Dorothy M. (Esterline) Eberly. She grew up in Whitley County and graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1987.

Michelle was a Branch Manager at the Columbia City B.M.V. from 1989 until her retirement in October, 2023.

On April 9, 1988, she married Kraig A. Norris.  Although they divorced, they remained good friends.

Michelle had a strong love for her children and grandchildren.  She always made sure to attend all sporting and school events wherever possible.

Surviving are her children, Natasha (Simon Knouse) Norris-Krider, Katlyn (Christopher) Hostrander and Kane (Logan Miller) Norris; mother, Dorothy M. (Tom) Eberly, father, Charles "Chuck" McCoy; nine grandchildren; brother, Toby J. (Terri) McCoy; and sister, Kelly R. (Brad) Malcolm all of Columbia City.

Additionally, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Clela Esterline; maternal grandfather, Clifford Esterline; paternal grandmother, Katherine McCoy and paternal grandfather, Max McCoy.

As per Michelle's wishes a celebration of life and family and friends gathering will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Smith & Sons Coachroom, 205 North Main Street, Columbia City,  from 4 to 7 p.m. with a family remembrance starting at 7 p.m. at the Coachroom.

Memorials in Michelle's honor are to the Humane Society of Whitley County
