Obituary

Mickey Lynn Kahn, 73, of South Whitley, died peacefully at his home at 1:56 p.m. June 5, 2022.

Born on March 23, 1949, in Huntington, Indiana, he was a son of the late Clarence David and Betty Lou (Rupley) Kahn. Growing up in Whitley County, he graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1967.

On February 13, 1975, he entered the U.S. Marine Corps serving four years and receiving an honorable discharge on February 20, 1979.

Returning to the area, he became a professional over-the-road truck driver.

On January 7, 1993, he married Linda Evelyn Kirk.  They made their home in Columbia City and for the past four years, South Whitley.  He was a past member of the VFW Post 5582, Columbia City.

In his retirement years, he like to maintain his property and spend time with his grand and great-grandkids.

Surviving is his wife, Linda; daughters, Melisa (Ben) Grant of South Whitley, Heidi (Don) Long of Middleville, MI and Racheal (Rob) Weber of Savanah, GA; stepchildren, Dwayne (Amy) Little of Chattanooga, TN, Dale (Dawn) Little of Wilmington, NC, Donna Dale of Columbia City; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Christine (Daryl) Johnson of Huntington, Cynthia (Lenard) Coburn of Columbia City and Henry "Hank" (Deborah) Kahn of Ashland, KY.

Additionally, he was preceded in death by a sister Carmella Rose Kahn.

Mickey's desire was to have no services.  Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley.
