Patricia Kay Gipson , 80, of Huntertown, died peacefully at 5:15 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Grey Stone Health and Rehabilitation, Fort Wayne.

Born on March 21, 1943 in Noble County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Rolena M. (Oliver) Collinsworth.  Growing up near Wolf Lake, she graduated from Wolf Lake High School in 1961.

On August 12, 1966, she married Rolland B. Gipson. For 42 years, the couple made their home at Blue Lake.  Rolland died on July 12, 2012.

In addition to raising three sons, she worked as a nurses' aid at the Whitley County Memorial Hospital for ten years then Essex in Columbia City for ten years.

Surviving is a granddaughter, Adrian Gipson of Avon.

Additionally, she was preceded in death by her sons, Darion Gipson, Bryan Gipson, and Paul Evard, and a brother, Wayne Collinsworth.

There will be no services. The burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Columbia City. Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
