Patrica Joann Kintigh , 77, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully in the company of family at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2024, at her daughter's home in Columbia City.

Born on November 12, 1946, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Arlene M. (Pabst) Foux.  Growing up in Fort Wayne, she graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1964.  She continued her education at IVY Tech, earning certification in accounting.

On September 26, 1962, she married John William Scudder.  They made their home in Fort Wayne, raising two daughters.  John died on December 10, 1982.  On October 22, 2000, she married Patrick Jay Kintigh.  They made their home in Fort Wayne.  Patrick died on January 24, 2010.

Raising her daughters and maintaining the household, Patricia worked part-time as a bookkeeper.  After her daughters were grown, she worked for Meadow Gold in Fort Wayne, later becoming Lincoln Food Service in accounts payable, retiring in 2008.

In her retirement, she loved watching the birds, volunteering with the IU/Purdue Bird Avery Society, and collecting data on local bird species and populations.

Surviving is her daughter Catherine (Richard) Curry of Columbia City; grandchildren, Joshua J.S. Howard and Zachariah Howard; and a great-granddaughter, Seeley Foux Howard.

Additionally, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Colleen Scudder.

There will be no services.  Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
