Obituary

Patricia Ann Spahr , of Fort Wayne, passed away at 1:04 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Lutheran Life Villages at Inverness, Fort Wayne.

Born on August 19, 1939, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to the late Roy P. Inman and Esther R. (Robertson) Inman, she grew up in Fort Wayne and graduated from Elmhurst High School in 1957.  She continued her education at Ball State for one year, then transferred to Purdue in Fort Wayne, earning an Associate Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management.

Patricia married Richard D. Spahr on October 28, 1972.  They made their home in Fort Wayne, raising three children.  After Richard took a work transfer, the couple lived in Barrington, IL, for 10 years before returning to Fort Wayne.

In addition to being a homemaker, Patricia worked for Concordia Lutheran Seminary, assisting the organization with fundraising, and then worked for the March of Dimes as the branch director.  After the couple's return to Fort Wayne, Patricia worked for the Northeast Indiana Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as a Director for 13 years, achieving the highest fundraising for the Society in Indiana.

She volunteered at The Chapel as a greeter. In addition to her commitment to charitable work, Patricia loved golf and cards and enjoyed traveling throughout the United States with her husband in their Airstream travel trailer.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Richard; three children, Karla A. Schramm, of Algonquin, IL; Sean M. Spahr, of Colville, Washington; and Kayla A. Spahr, of Fort Wayne; a grandson, Dylan; and a brother, David P. Inman, of Georgetown, Texas.

A Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at The Chapel 2505 W Hamilton Road, Fort Wayne.  The family will receive guest from 12 noon until the service Wednesday at the church.
