Perry Lee Ramsey, 63, of Columbia City, died unexpectedly at 6:50 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2023, at his home.

Born on February 27, 1960, in Whitley County, Indiana, he was a son of Dean A. and Norma J. (Hennessey) Ramsey.  Perry attended Marshall Elementary school and graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1978.

On October 17, 1981 he was united in marriage to Lori Ann Fisher, they have always made their home in Columbia City.

Perry started his work career in 1982 at INDOT as a Tech II, and worked there until 2015, when he semi-retired and started part time at the Water Department in Columbia City, retiring in October of 2022.

Perry enjoyed keeping his yard looking beautiful, cruising, watching NCIS and spending time with his family.

Surviving is his wife, Lori; mother, Norma; his sons, Justin Lee (Emily) Ramsey of Fort Wayne and Tyler Drew Ramsey of Osceola; brother, Alan D. (Dawn) Ramsey of Columbia City; and seven grandchildren, Rhiley, Emmitt, Elliana, Brynnleigh, Jaxton, Jonny Beckett and Hudson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dean and a grandchild, Jace Franklin Ramsey.

The funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday May 9th, 2023.  Burial will be at St. Catherine's Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the service at the funeral home.
