Richard L Curry Sr., 83 , of Columbia City, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, October 22, 2021.

On August 2, 1938, he was born in Kosciusko County, Indiana, to the late Harold and Thelma (Ulray) Curry. Growing up in the Syracuse area, he completed his schooling at Syracuse High School and joined the United States Marine Corp.

After his return from the USMC, he became a truck driver beginning with General Electric in Fort Wayne. Later driving interstate transport for CW Transport. He retired in 2010.

When at home, he relaxed watching any sporting event that was currently playing on the television.

Surviving is a son Richard Curry, Jr.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother Dean Curry of Indianapolis and a sister Sondra Searfoss.

There will be no service.  Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
