Richard D. Kauffman, 84, of Columbia City, passed away at 10:15 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2025, at his home.

Richard was born on April 20, 1941 in Bratton Township, PA.  He was a son of the late John M. and Catherine Margaret Kauffman.

He started work at Parkview Hospital from 1964 until 1992.  He then worked at Kelly Chevrolet from 1992 until the present time.

Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting and racquetball. He was a family man and enjoyed his grandchildren

He is survived by a son, Jonathan R. Kauffman; three granddaughters and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son Chad M. Kauffman.

As per Richard's wishes, there will be no services.
