Roger Lee Johnson, Jr., 42, of Columbia City, passed away at 4:33 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
Born on October 12, 1983, in Kendallville, Indiana, he was a son of Roger Lee Johnson, Sr., and Connie Lou (Wineland) Johnson. Growing up in the Avilla area, he completed Albion Elementary School and attended Central Noble High School.
Upon entering the workforce, Roger worked at CNR Plating, now known as KC Jones Plating, in Columbia City, where he served for over 16 years.
Enjoying the outdoors whenever possible, he liked riding BMX bicycles, playing horseshoes, listening to music, and pranking friends. He liked playing video games, was a skilled pool player, and sang karaoke. He had a special fondness for his long-haired dachshund, Charlie.
Surviving are his daughters, Ariyana (Kyle) Oswalt of Kendallville and Nevaeh Johnson of Fort Wayne; his mother, Connie Johnson of Columbia City; a brother, Brian (Mari) Wineland, and a sister, Tavi (Ryan) Johnson, both of Columbia City; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Lee Johnson, Sr.
Roger desired no services. Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
