Romona Lee Weaver, 92, of South Whitley, died at 5:17 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2022, at Northwoods Village in Fort Wayne.

She was born on November 30, 1929, in Bluffton, Indiana, a daughter of the late Arthur and Edna (Young) Jackson.  Growing up in the Roanoke area, she attended Roanoke High School.

On October 1, 1950, she married Floyd Edward Weaver.  They made their home in Roanoke then moved to South Whitley in 1954.  Floyd died March 7, 2019.

Romona loved being a farm wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Romona is survived by her daughters, Pamela A. (David) Teegardin of Hudson, Indiana, Sandra S. (Clay Deaton) Weaver of North Port, Florida and Sherri L. (David) Ayres of South Whitley; brothers Ronald (Janelle) Jackson of Fort Wayne and Carl (Kay) Jackson of Sedona, Arizona; five granddaughters; two step grandsons and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Verlin and Delmar Jackson.

The funeral service is 3 p.m. Sunday at Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley.  Burial is at the South Whitley Cemetery. Visitation is 1:00 p.m. until the service Sunday at the funeral home.
