Sheila Kay Cook , 78, of Columbia City, died unexpectedly of natural causes at her home on Thursday, August 15, 2024.

She was born on January 28, 1946, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, a daughter of the late Berlin L. and Reathel A. (Reinhart) Foster.  Growing up in Columbia City, she completed Marshall School and attended Columbia City Joint High School.

She had worked as a custodian for Warsaw Community Schools and retired from Whitley County Consolidated Schools.

She was an avid Indiana University fan, following the football and basketball schedules.

Surviving is a son, Michel (Amy) Cook of Columbia City, and grandchildren Jaslyn and Brendan Cook.

A private family service will be held at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.  The interment is at the Greenhill Cemetery, Columbia City.
