Shirley Ann Boggs, 91, of Columbia City, passed away peacefully in the company of family at 3:39 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Parkview Whitley Hospital.

Born on January 6, 1935, in Whitley County, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Jacob C. and L. Helen (Young) Wolfe.  Growing up in Huntington County, the family moved back to Whitley County, where she graduated from Columbia City High School in 1953.

On May 28, 1953, she married Roger D. Boggs.  They made their first home in Huntington, later moving to Fort Wayne, then a farm near Etna. Roger died on August 12, 2003, after which Shirley relocated to Columbia City.

In addition to raising three children, Shirley worked various factory jobs with 13 years of service at Dana Corp.  After retiring, she volunteered at the Parkview Whitley Hospital.

She cherished time with the grandkids and enjoyed attending their activities.

Surviving are her children, Jamesanna (Jeff) Webb of Auburn, Roger Boggs of Albion, and Rebecca Murphy of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Brad McBride, Amy McBride, Elizabeth Brown, Jacee Brown, and Jennifer Brown; numerous great-grandchildren; and a sister, Roberta Wolfe of Hampton, Georgia.

Additionally, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Nancy Boggs; and son-in-law, Shad Murphy.

Shirley desired to have no services.  She will be inurned with her husband at the Stough Cemetery.
