Thomas William Woodruff, 71, of South Whitley, died at 7:57 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, where he was admitted on June 8, 2021.

Born February 17, 1950, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of Wayne William and Mary Elizabeth (Mudrack) Woodruff.  He attended New Haven High School.

On August 8, 1981 he married Mavelen G. Pook They made their home in Columbia City and South Whitley.

He worked at Whitley Feeds and More Farm Store as a mechanic and finally as a driver for Amish Construction.

He enjoyed anything mechanical, welding, woodworking and hunting and fishing.

Surviving is his wife of 39 years, Mavelen, children, Thomas W. (Jenny) Woodruff Jr. of Hudson, Andrew D. (Candice) Woodruff of Columbia City, Heather M. (Dale) Potts of Butler, Sherrie (Thomas) Renfrow of Garrett, Elizabeth L. Woodruff of Columbia City; 21 grandchildren; sisters Ruth (Ed) Kinnally of Payne, OH, Barbara Kapelka of Charlotte, NC and Alice Weir of Laotto.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Mary Alice Woodruff, Shirley Voirol and Beverly Reynolds.

As per Thomas' request, there will be no services or visitation.
