Victoria J. Harness, 70, died peacefully, with her husband by her side, on Friday, September 13, 2024, at her home. In Columbia City.

She was born March 8, 1954, in Yuma, Arizona a daughter of the late Forest E. and Rebecca (Bruson) Ambrose.  The family moved to this area and Victoria graduated from South Whitley High School in 1973.

On April 16, 1987 she married Ronal Harness.  They have always lived in Columbia City.

She started working at Claywood Creations in 1997 as an assistant to Jerry Kreider.  They are well known for their intricate puzzle-like sculptures and religious themes. She retired in 2016.

She enjoyed spending time in Colorado.

Surviving is her loving husband, Ronal; step-son Ronald Harness; and step-daughter, Summer Leigh Harness both of Andalusia, Alabama; and a brother, Dennis Merrill Ambrose of Columbia City.

As per Victoria's wishes, there will be no services.

Memorials are to St. Bonaventure Indian Mission & School, Thoreau, NM or plant a tree in Victoria's honor if you wish.
