Obituary

Virginia L. "Jenny" Weber, 87, of South Whitley, died at 1:45 a.m. Sunday, November 14, 2021 at her home.

Born December 15, 1933 in Floyd County, Kentucky.  She was a daughter of the late Lee and Nelis (Howard) Stephens.  She grew up in the Kentucky area.

On March 28, 1964 she was married to John M. Weber.  They have always made their home in South Whitley. John died March 3, 2005.

Virginia worked at Chamberlin Products and finished her work career at Stumps Party World.

She enjoyed playing tennis, when she was younger and still enjoyed all sports, being an avid supporter of Kentucky College football and basketball games.

She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church.

Surviving is her daughter, Sheila (David) Meadows; sons, Clint (Cindy) Hatton of South Whitley, John (Mary) Hatton of Fort Wayne and Steve (Donna) Weber; nine grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and brother Rabin D. Stephens.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dola J. Hatton Jr.; brothers, Talmadge Stephens, Holt Stephens; sisters, Hazel Yates, Thelma Miller, Hancford Layne and JoAnn Richardson and two great grandchildren.

The funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley.  Burial is at South Whitley Cemetery.  Visitation is from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials in Virginia's honor are to Cleveland Township Fire Department.
