Xander Grant Boone , still borne infant son of Grant Logan Boone and Lauren Ashley Whitaker, was delivered at 3:15 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Dupont Hospital Birthing Center, Fort Wayne.

His brief presence forever touched the lives of his parents and paternal grandparents, Richard and Rebecca Boone of Columbia City, and his maternal grandparents, Harvey and Lisa Whitaker of Waterloo.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City, with a service at 7 p.m.

Memorials in Xander's honor are to the final expenses in care of Smith & Sons Funeral Home.
